Work Area

For Best results, work inside a garage or other enclosed area. Keep the surfaces of the glass from any extreme temperatures such as too hot or cold. Shut off any fans or any source of dusts, grits or air movement. Otherwise, dirt will stick to the window or tint film that will ruin your installation.

Window Cleaning

First, clean the inside and outside window with the soap and water solution that you had prepared. After spraying the window, scrape the entire inside surface window with a razor blade. (Avoid the back window with defog lines! Use a scrub pad to clean instead.) Make sure corners and edges are clean by wiping them with a paper towel. Rinse the inside surface with soap and water solution and squeeguee dry. The window must be clean and lint free.

Hints: Remove any stickers that may be adhering to the window. Tape off the top and side weather strip of window frame to prevent lint and dust from getting onto the glass and underneath the tint.

Installation

Side windows -

  1. Spray the window thoroughly with the soap and water solution so it is dripping wet. Avoid spraying heavily above the window to prevent dirt or dust from getting down onto the glass.
  2. Make sure that you have the correct pre-cut window film for the correct window before the installation begins. Remove the liner slowly while spraying the adhesive with the soap and water solution. Make sure surface is drenched including the edges.
  3. Apply the film to the inside of the window. Since both the film and windows are very wet, the film can be easily moved to the proper position. Handle the film carefully as it can be creased. This cannot be removed. Hint: Try to pick up the film from underneath to minimize/eliminate fingerprints on the adhesive.
  4. Lightly spray the film surface with the soap and water solution. Then, carefully squeegee the film horizontally and vertically, working from the center to edges and top to bottom.
  5. Ensure all edges lie flat against the glass. Hint: Use a plastic hard card wrapped with a piece of paper towel to squeeze out excess water.
  6. Repeat steps 1 through 5 for the remaining windows.

Back window -

  1. Spray down back window with soap and water solution so it is drenched.
  2. Peel entire liner slowly while spraying with adhesive. Pick up the tint film underneath to minimize/eliminate fingerprints on the adhesive.
  3. Apply film slowly moving the tint to the bottom first. Adjust film into proper place and squeegee horizontally, vertically working from the center to the edges and top to bottom.
After Installation

Wipe up excess water around edges. Check each window for any "fingers" (long, thin bubbles starting at edges) that may occur shortly after installation. Heat up edges with a heat gun if necessary.

Do not roll down any side windows for a minimum of 2-3 days. During the first day or so, there may be some cloudiness in tint as the adhesive starts to cure. This will eventually clear up. (Sooner during warmer weather.)

Care & Cleaning

To ensure long life and best appearance for your windows- do not use abrasives or ammonia-based cleaners cush as Windex. Use soap and water to clean windows with a hand towel or good quality paper towel. Wipe along the weather strip of all roll up windows to prevent dirt from getting underneath that may scratch up the tint over time.
